"Worship Him"

A CHILD IS BORN

It was prophetically spoken that a ruler would come out of
Bethlehem who would be supernaturally brought forth and sanctified
by the Father for His service.

But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among
the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall He come forth
unto Me that is to be Ruler in Israel; Whose goings forth
have been from of old, from everlasting.
Micah 5:2

We can discern from what we know of the whole counsel of
God’s Word that this is a specific reference to Jesus Christ. “Whose
goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting,”
reveals to us
the eternal origin and ordained role that Christ was assigned from
eternity past. Christ, as the Son of God, has always been. It was
when Christ was clothed with flesh in the fullness of time that He
became what we have come to know as the historical Jesus or Jesus
of Nazareth. Jesus was set apart by God the Father for His specific
and perfect will. Micah said this ruler “shall come forth unto Me.”
The “Me” is none other than the Father.
In the book of Hebrews, we get a snapshot of how proud God
the Father was the night Jesus was born: “And again, when He bringeth in the first-begotten into the world, He saith, ‘And let all the angels of God worship Him’” (Hebrews 1:6). The writer of Hebrews
is proving how Jesus is the express image of the Father and how He
is superior to angels by using Old Testament references that should
be applied to Jesus. He writes about the night Jesus was born and
how the angels were told to worship Him. The word bringeth literally
means “to introduce.” God the Father was so proud of His Son
that when Jesus was born, He introduced the angels to Him and
told them this child was His Son and they must worship Him: “For
unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given: and the government
shall be upon His shoulder: and His name shall be called Wonderful,
Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince
of Peace” (Isaiah 9:6)
. God, as a proud Father, introduced His Son
to His ministering spirits and flames of fire (His angels) and said,
“Worship Him.”

HE IS WORTH CELEBRATING

I have pictures of myself coming out and introducing my daughters
to our family and friends. I’m covered in my sanitary hospital
garments, holding my very own flesh and blood with a gleam in my
eye. I wanted the world to know these little girls were a gift from
God and very special to me. I can only imagine how proud God the
Father was to introduce Jesus to the world. Every time God births
Him in the heart of a new creature, I believe He is proud to announce
this new birth in glory. This may be a reason why there is so much
celebrating in heaven when a sinner repents and trust Jesus. God
today loves to introduce His Son to sinners. What does He say when
He does?
“Worship Him!”

What did the angels do after they were introduced to Jesus that
night?
And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in
the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And, lo,
the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the
Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.
And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring
you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour,
which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you;
Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in
a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude
of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God
in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.
Luke 2:8-14
They found someone to tell! They praised and worship the
Savior! They preached Jesus to needy sinners! Why did they do
this? They did it because a proud Father introduced His Son to them
and said,
“Worship Him!”
Have you heard these words spoken over you?
When Jesus is birthed in the life of a born again believer God directs their hearts affection and adoration to Worship His new born King.
Are you Worshipping Jesus?

To God be the Glory!
Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favour my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the Lord be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of His servant. Psalm 35:27

We want to thank the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ for His matchless love and mercy. He has used His people to bless our lives and we're eternally indebted to Him and His service.

We appreciate your prayers and thank God for using you to intercede for us as we traveled the roads of Louisiana and Mississippi sharing the Gospel of the kingdom. My brother Jeremy and his family housed us for over a week, and it was a treat to spend time with him and his precious family. They sacrificed their time and treasures to take care of us while we were with them. We also were encouraged and equipped to press on in our journey as we worshipped our King with both Richardson Baptist Church in Franklinton, La. and Ben's Ford Baptist Church in Bogalusa, La. It was a privilege to preach in the pulpit of both the churches and a very high honor to stand before these two great congregations. Bro. Jimmy and Bro. Lynn are two men of God that He is using in a significant way to impact His kingdom and reach people for His glory. Each of these churches was used by the Lord to do exceedingly above and beyond all that we could imagine or ever ask, in every aspect, as He met our needs through them. It is a beautiful thing to see Jesus invade people with His grace and free them from the lies of this world! We pray that we were as much as a blessing to them as they were to us.

This past Sunday I preached at Bethany Baptist Church in Whynot, Ms. Bro. Marvin went on trip down to Louisiana to spend a week in fellowship with a good pastor friend of his, Bro. Mardy Guidry, in Lockport, La. while they seek God's face for revival. Some of you remember Bro. Malcom Ellis. His pastor from Texas is preaching for Bro. Mardy this week and they invited momma and Bro. Marvin to come stay with them for a couple of days. I always find it a joy to be with the folk at Bethany for they are like family.

Sunday night, the 16th, at 6pm. we'll be in Wiggins, Ms. at Berean Baptist Church with Bro. Leonard Smith. Berean Baptist is on Hwy. 49 in Wiggins. This will be our first time to open the Word of God together so pray that the Lord will use us to raise up some champions for the truth while we're with them. Sunday, the 30th, we'll be with Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Quitman, Ms. Bro. Robert has invited me to fill the pulpit for him while he is out. This is also the church that Chris and Elizabeth serve. We are looking ahead and anticipating a great day in the Lord in both of these churches.

Thanks again for going before the Most High God, in the beauty of holiness, and asking Him to use all of us to be dangerously strong for His truth upon the earth. All men are guilty of rebellion toward Jesus until otherwise proven innocent. The fields are white but the laborers are few. Ask God to use you in His harvest. Ask Him to use our new book, (which is now out) Magnify the Lord, to launch out saints into His work, and also to lovingly introduce sinners to the Lord of glory.
