This Particular LIFE (Part 7)
Go, stand and speak in the temple to the people all the words of this life. (Acts 5:20)

This Altered Life Can BE Validated! (E)
(
Guilty until proven innocent)

Theme for all missionaries who live to rescue the perishing:

“All men are guilty of living a life of rebellion toward King Jesus until otherwise proven innocent by His unmistakable marks of grace upon their life.”

This Life,” as it is described by the angel of the Lord, is a life characterized by the distinct leadership and divine influence of the Holy Spirit. Every new creature in Christ Jesus can be identified and validated as a son of God through the life altering rule of the Holy Spirit.
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. (Romans 8:14)

Mark #3
He is Led by the Holy Spirit:

The very same Spirit that was in Christ, and the same anointing to preach glad tidings to the poor, is upon every blood bought child of God. From the very first time we heard and knew the grace of God in truth it was by the anointed preaching of the Holy Ghost. (Col.1:4-6)

Of which salvation the prophets have enquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you: [11] Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow. [12] Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into. (1 Peter 1:10-12)

Not only was the preacher sent by God, and anointed by the Holy Ghost to testify of the Gospel of the kingdom of God, and manifest the means of God’s grace in Christ Jesus, but we were supernaturally regenerated by the Holy Ghost of God to hear, know, and see the kindness of God and His love toward mankind.

For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another. [4] But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, [5] Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; [6] Which He shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour; [7] That being justified by His grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life. (Titus 3:3-7)

It was and is by the work of the Holy Spirit that we love and like our great God and awesome Deliverer, the Lord Jesus Christ. The only difference between verses three and four is the interruption of Jesus in our lives applied by the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the third Person of the Godhead that actively applies the pleasure and purpose of the Father through the redemptive work of God’s Son. The Holy Spirit is God’s gift and guarantee that bears witness with our spirit and the spirit of the redeemed that we are personally His both now and forever. He’s come to accomplish the Father’s will by exalting the complete and compelling work of Jesus Christ. In doing so He comforts, convicts, convinces, chastens, and compels the subjects of the Lord Jesus. He can be, and is often, grieved by these subjects when their hearts are in disagreement with God’s purpose. He is regularly quenched by backslidden and bitter believers. Yet, with God’s kingdom agenda as His meat, He is relentless in His work in leading God’s people to a place of grace repentance. (Acts 5:31-32 ; 2 Tim. 2:24-26)

His leadership, power, fruit, and eternal witness cannot be present and go without being noticed. He's the One who gives life to, “This Life,” that the apostles were sent to speak about in the temple. (Acts 5:20) Mark #3 of God’s redemptive grace is that ALL of God’s people will be, as a way of life, led by the Holy Spirit.

But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of His. (Romans 8:9)

Set me as a seal upon thine heart, as a seal upon thine arm: for love is strong as death; jealousy is cruel as the grave: the coals thereof are coals of fire, which hath a most vehement flame. [7] Many waters cannot quench love, neither can the floods drown it: if a man would give all the substance of his house for love, it would utterly be contemned. (Song 8:6-7)

LOVE, like the grave, CONSUMES and CONSTRAINS its subjects!

“All men are guilty of not being led by the Holy Ghost until proven innocent.”

Come back for part 8 as we continue to introduce the eternal marks of God’s grace.

Until then God bless!

But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto Me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. (Acts 1:8)

And we are His witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey Him. (Acts 5:32)

This Particular LIFE (Part 6)
Go, stand and speak in the temple to the people all the words of this life. (Acts 5:20)

This Altered Life Can BE Validated! (D)
(Guilty until proven innocent)

Theme for all missionaries who live to rescue the perishing:

“All men are guilty of living a life of rebellion toward King Jesus until otherwise proven innocent by His unmistakable marks of grace upon their life.”

Mark #2
He not only LOVES King Jesus but He LIKES Him:

All of humanity, outside of being in a relationship with Jesus Christ, is blind to the truth about Jesus. This blindness is the direct result of Adam’s sin in the Garden of Eden. We, as natural men, were all born blind to the gospel. This blindness is specific to the essence of the gospel. The enemy, through the deceitfulness of sin, has caused an obscurity of vision in the understanding of those who are perishing.

I use the word perishing to describe someone lost in their own sin. Think about being lost this way. When someone is lost in a vast wilderness with no means of getting themselves out of where they are, they are perishing. Man outside of Christ, lost and helpless, is perishing in a sin-sick world. We, along with the rest of humanity, by nature have an appeal toward sin that cannot be altered, curved, or satisfied by sin itself. The pleasure we pursue is only temporary. The more we are involved in sin, the greater the degree of intensity and longing we have for it.
The only hope for man is the new birth brought about by God Himself. “Of His own will begat He us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of His creatures” (James 1:18). Being born again is the work and wonder of a sovereign God. He uses a vessel of His mercy to preach His Good News of our redemption through Christ and we are enabled to believe the unbelievable. The gospel is the power of God unto salvation or the means by which He has ordained to birth us into His kingdom. The problem with men is they are blind to this gospel until God shines in their hearts and gives them the light needed to see and know Him through the life of His Son, Jesus. Who is it who effectually applies this work of God? The Holy Spirit does this awesome work of regeneration, birthing us into God’s kingdom. This is why God told Nicodemus no one could see or enter into the kingdom of God without first being born again.
Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. (John 3:3)
Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. (John 3:5)

The new birth is how Jesus loosens the works of the devil over our life. Paul speaks of those who don’t have an affection or appeal for Christ as being still under the curse of the fall:
“If any man love not the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be Anathema Maranatha” (1 Corinthians 16:22).
If any man is not fond of Christ with that same natural appeal we develop toward a close friend, he is lost and perishing. This type of love is the kind of love you have when you meet someone for the first time and you really like them even though you don’t know them. You are naturally drawn to them with an appeal that cannot be denied. David and Jonathan were drawn to each other this way. “Then Jonathan and David made a covenant, because he loved him as his own soul” (1 Samuel 18:3). They embraced and enjoyed a natural friendship that was born the moment they met. If you have been born again, you will not only love Jesus Christ, but you will also forever like Him. Do you really like Jesus? Paul wants us to see the distinct result and power of the new birth. Prior to being born again, we may have been fond of a false Jesus we let our secular culture shape for us, but not the Jesus who demanded all of our lives. Not a Jesus who calls on us to die to ourselves and reveals there is nothing beneficial in our flesh. Why has our culture shaped a Jesus who is not described in the Bible? It is because of an enemy who has clouded their vision of who Jesus is and has led them also to shape Jesus to their own liking.
Moreover, when a man is born again by the Spirit of the living God, he will not only love the authentic historical Jesus revealed in the Scriptures, but he will also like Jesus. He, because of his new nature, will have an unquenchable appeal for Jesus. He will have an
undeniable adoration and an unconditional appreciation for Jesus Christ, who has forgiven him of so many sins and made him into a new creature. He acts on this unquenchable appeal and makes a well thought out choice to love God based on a truth that will be continually revealed to him. On the other hand, if a man is not drawn to
Christ with an overwhelming fondness because he likes Jesus, he’ll never chose to love Him for what He’s done. His claims of loving Jesus do not match his affections and actions.
What is the difference between the man who is fond of Jesus and the one who’s not? Jesus Himself is the difference. The eternal purpose of the new birth is what has made the difference effective.
But we are bound to give thanks always to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth: Whereunto He called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. (2 Thessalonians 2:13-14)
The difference maker is God, and the difference that He’s made is a new creation. He freely and forever forgives, reconciles, and rescues His subjects through Christ, to the praise and glory of His grace. Praise Him for this indescribable gift.
Before we move on from this thought, I want to help you see what Paul is saying when he says, “Let be accursed,” in regards to those who profess Christ as their Savior but show no evidence they like Him or His people. This does not mean you leave him there and
move on. He is teaching us to not claim someone is saved when they’re not. If you have a spouse, children, other family members, or friends who are not absolutely fond of Jesus, pray to God He’ll deliver them for His own glory. “Even with those who claim to be
saved?” “Yes!” Even those who go to church with you but show no affection and adoration for Jesus.
Men can fake many things and get away with it most of the time. But they cannot fake what they like and what they treasure. New creatures that have been saved by the grace of God will treasure and like the Lord Jesus Christ. Listen to those you know when they
talk about what they treasure and like the most, and see if you can discern the presence of God in their thoughts. “The wicked, through the pride of his countenance, will not seek after God: God is not in all his thoughts” (Psalm 10:4). We all seek what we treasure and talk about what we like. God’s presence is not discernible or evident in guiding all the thoughts of the wicked. If we were to read the whole psalm, we would see the wicked think about God, but God is not involved in initiating or instructing the thoughts of the wicked. Why not? God has not established His thoughts. Why has He not established
His thoughts? The wicked has not surrendered His life unto the Lord. “Commit thy works unto the Lord, and thy thoughts shall be established” (Proverbs 16:3). We commit ourselves to what we treasure, and we trust what we treasure. We will always be found
talking the most about three things: (1) what we treasure (2) what we like (3) what we know the most about. If it’s not Jesus, we’re lost and perishing in our sins!
When we know others don’t like Jesus, pray God will shine in their hearts so they can see and know Him through the gospel of Jesus Christ. They will never have an appeal for the authentic Jesus until they are born again. Pray for light to shine in them for God’s glory. Salvation is about God’s glory. Men become better people when they are saved, but this is not the reason we should pray for them to be saved. Salvation is not so we’ll go to church and enjoy it more, but it is completely for the glory of God.

When the Holy Spirit births us into the kingdom of God we become supernaturally fond of Jesus. Mark #2 of God’s redemptive grace is that ALL of God’s people will love and like Jesus.

LOVE, like death, CONQUERS and CAPTIVATES its subjects!

“All men are guilty of not liking King Jesus until proven innocent.”

If thou forbear to deliver them that are drawn unto death, and those that are ready (stumbling) to be slain (slaughtered); [12] If thou sayest, Behold, we knew it not; doth not He that pondereth the heart consider it? and He that keepeth thy soul, doth not He know it? and shall not He render to every man according to his works? This Particular LIFE (Part 5)
Go, stand and speak in the temple to the people all the words of this life. (Acts 5:20)

This Altered Life Can BE Validated! (C)
(
Guilty until proven innocent)

Theme for all missionaries who live to rescue the perishing:

“All men are guilty of living a life of rebellion toward King Jesus until otherwise proven innocent by His unmistakable marks of grace upon their life.”

The Word of God has clearly revealed that lost and self-destructing humanity is eternally and utterly helpless and hopeless apart from being permanently interrupted and reconciled by the Lord Himself. Man left to himself will be forever void and empty handed of any righteousness. Without an invasion of God’s redemptive grace man will live a life of hostile rebellion toward King Jesus.

What are the eternal marks of God’s grace upon the life of His redeemed? It’s obvious that these marks can be identifiable by the indication of our main text in this series. The angel of the Lord instructed the apostles to go tell the people about “THIS LIFE”. This life must and will be set apart from any other type of life. What are some of the distinctions that would help us recognize that a man is subject to Christ Jesus and no longer committing, as a way of life, high treason before the King of kings.

Mark #1
His LOVE for the Father:

When we are interrupted and reconciled to the Lord there is a supernatural work that takes place in our lives. The Bible describes this work as the “circumcision of the heart”. When God births a new creature into the family of God, through His eternal grace and the gift of grace by Jesus Christ (His righteousness)(Rom. 5:14), through the regenerating work of the Holy Spirit (Titus 3:3-8), He removes our rebellious and hard heart and gives us a new heart of flesh that is easily cut but the Word of God. (Jer. 31-32 ; Ez. 36) God, Himself, cuts away the natural and exposes His supernatural work of grace. The results of this circumcision is the supernatural ability to know God’s everlasting love for us, which will always result in a love for Him that is suitable to bring glory to our Father‘s name, through the enabling work of the Holy Spirit. We love Him, because He first loved us. (1 John 4:19)

And the Lord thy God will circumcise thine heart, and the heart of thy seed, to love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, that thou mayest live. (Deut. 30:6)

And ye are complete in Him, which is the head of all principality and power: [11] In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ: [12] Buried with Him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with Him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised Him from the dead. [13] And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses… (Col. 2:10-13)

And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us. (Romans 5:5)

And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father. (Galatians 4:6)

When the Holy Spirit cuts our hearts for the love of God we go from being a hater of the things of God to loving our heavenly Father. Mark #1 of God’s redemptive grace is that ALL of God’s people will love Him.

LOVE, like death, is ABSOLUTELY and UNMISTAKABLY NOTICED!

“All men are guilty of not loving Him until proven innocent.”

Come back for part 6 as we continue to introduce the eternal marks of God’s grace.

Until then God bless!

This Particular LIFE (Part 4)
Go, stand and speak in the temple to the people all the words of this life. (Acts 5:20)

This Altered Life Can BE Validated! (B)
(Guilty until proven innocent)

Theme for all missionaries who live to rescue the perishing:

“All men are guilty of living a life of rebellion toward King Jesus until otherwise proven innocent by His unmistakable marks of grace upon their life.”

For some this is hard to swallow. To think in such a way is inconceivable and quite distasteful. Most people desire to think that man is inherently good. If we look at people from the “human element” or “man’s perspective” we would probably come to the same conclusion. Why would we think so highly of human beings? (1) We are humans and as such, we for the most part, do not consider ourselves as evil people. (2) The people we love and spend most of our time with seem to be good, moral, and caring people. (3) Though there are evil people and bad things that happen, it can not compare to all the “good” that is done and all the helpful people that live on our planet. (4) We often view people and life through a natural filter called a carnal mind that fails to factor God’s view into the equation. (5) Our thoughts, emotions, and the facts that support our lives are so real that we accept them as truth but they can be and most often are lies. Let me explain what I mean by this statement. Just because something is real or even an undeniable fact does not mean that it’s true. Thoughts that we have that are contrary to God’s ways are real but they are lies. Satan is a reality. What the Bible says about him is true but everything he does and says is a lie. The Word of God sheds light on this fundamental truth. Jesus vividly describes Satan as one who is void of any truth.

“Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.” (John 8:44)

There’s a great illustration of this principle found in 2 Samuel 10. King David sent servants to the newly installed king of Ammon to comfort and bless him after the death of the new King’s father. David was showing King Hanun kindness and returning the favor that Hanun’s father, King Nahash, had expressed to him in the past. When David’s servants arrived in the land to fulfill their mission the princes of the children of Ammon told their newly installed king that David had an alternative motive. They told the king that David sent these men to search out the city with the intent to overthrow it. The king took the facts he had, and acted upon them. What was his distinct reality? King David was coming to take over his country. Nothing could have been farther from the truth. Hanun acted on the facts he had as thoug they were true. So much as to humiliate and shame David’s men to clearly make his point. The consequence he would have to face was death because what he accepted and acted on, as a fact and reality, was actually a lie. This lie from the princes stirred up real thoughts and real emotions, to the point, that it moved him to act on something that was real to him but nevertheless a big lie.
Today, people are settling for what is real and not truth. We all, at times, have accepted and acted on the facts that were before us as if they were truth. We are admonished by Paul to take captive every thought to the obedience of Christ. Why are we told to do this. Because our thoughts can be real and clear facts but not rooted in and a result of the truth.

For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: [4] (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) [5] Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; [6] And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled. (2 Cor. 10:3-6)

We must look at everything in our lives from God’s view! How then does God describe fallen humanity or what I call “products of the fall”?

A. Products of the Fall (Children of wrath and disobedience and in need of rescuing.)
Genesis 3:15
“And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise His heel.”
Ephes. 2:2-3 “Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: [3] Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.”
John 8:44 “Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.”

B. Partnership with the Fallen (Together in rebellion with the wicked and their corruption.)
Psalm 58:3-5
“The wicked are estranged from the womb: they go astray as soon as they be born, speaking lies. [4] Their poison is like the poison of a serpent: they are like the deaf adder that stoppeth her ear; [5] Which will not hearken to the voice of charmers, charming never so wisely.”
Genesis 6:5 “And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.”
Genesis 8:21 “And the Lord smelled a sweet savour; and the Lord said in His heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man's sake; for the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more every thing living, as I have done.”
Psalm 14:2-3 “The Lord looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God. [3] They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one.”

C. Pollution of the Fall (By nature unclean, wicked, & deceitful in every way and everything.)
Isaiah 64:6
“But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.”
Jeremiah 13:23 “Can the Ethiopian change his skin, or the leopard his spots? then may ye also do good, that are accustomed to do evil.”
Jeremiah 17:9 “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?”
Romans 3:23 “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God..”
Romans 7:18 “ For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing…”

D. Perishing in the Fall (Self-destructing & lost in sin.)
Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death…”
Ezekiel 18:4 “Behold, all souls are Mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is Mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die.”
Hebrews 9:27 “And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:”
2 Cor. 5:11 “Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men…”

E. Promises for the Fallen (Trust the relentless mercy and love of God by turning to Jesus and turning from ourselves and sin.)
Titus 1:1-3
“Paul, a servant of God, and an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the faith of God's elect, and the acknowledging of the truth which is after godliness; [2] In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began; [3] But hath in due times manifested His word through preaching, which is committed unto me according to the commandment of God our Saviour..”
Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
Romans 3:19-25 “Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. [20] Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in His sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin. [21] But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; [22] Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: [23] For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; [24] Being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: [25] Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in His blood, to declare His righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God…”
Romans 5:8 “But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
Luke 24:47-49 “And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. [48] And ye are witnesses of these things.”
Acts 3:26 “Unto you first God, having raised up His Son Jesus, sent Him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities.”
Acts 5:31 “Him hath God exalted with His right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.”
Acts 11:18 “When they heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified God, saying, Then hath God also to the Gentiles granted repentance unto life.”
Ephes. 2:8-10 “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: [9] Not of works, lest any man should boast. [10] For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.”
Acts 5:20 “Go, stand and speak in the temple to the people all the words of this life.”

Trust God’s view in everything but start with His view on man’s fallen and rebellious nature and His answer for this eternal problem found in Jesus Christ. Now you can understand why our missionary theme is:

“All men are guilty of living a life of rebellion toward King Jesus until otherwise proven innocent by His unmistakable marks of grace upon their life.”

Come back tomorrow for part 5 as we introduce the eternal marks of God’s grace.
Until then God bless!

This Particular LIFE (Part 3)
Go, stand and speak in the temple to the people all the words of this life. (Acts 5:20)
This Altered Life Can BE Validated! (A)
(Guilty until proven innocent)

All men should be seen as guilty of rebellion to the authority of King Jesus, and in need of being permanently conquered and made subject to Him, until otherwise proven innocent of this common and most natural sin.

All have sinned and come short of the glory of God. We understand, according to the Scriptures, that humanity left to itself is fallen, and in and of its self has no eternal value. Eternally speaking, apart from God's favor and providential touch, natural man is divinely good for nothing. God calls natural humans "children of disobedience" and "children of wrath". Why does He refer to them as evil and therefore; wicked? He does so because they're what I call “products of the fall”. Mankind inherited a fallen nature through the rebellion and transgression of Adam’s original sin. The result of his sin has been passed down through the ages to all his descendants. We, all humanity, are descendants of Adam and Eve. This original sin has left its mark, a clearly identifiable trait of deception and self-centered living, upon the hearts of everyone. We were born into this world a sinner. Today, we're positioned in one of two places: (1) we're either “products of the fall” (separated from the Lord and His redeeming grace therefore; perishing in our sin) or (2) we are the "workmanship of God" because we've been rescued from ourselves and the eternal consequences of our sin through the life of Jesus Christ. If we've been rescued there was a time in our lives that we lived a self-seeking lifestyle. We lived this way until we were interrupted by the Lord. God used Paul to describe these two different lifestyle in Romans 2:7-8. These two ways of living are the only two lifestyles presently operating in the world today.

“To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life: [8] But unto them that are contentious (self-stimulated/provoked; meaning self-seeking), and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath…” (Romans 2:7-8)

Every human being alive today is living in one of these verses. Their lives can be characterized as either in a position of: (1) submission to the truth therefore; a seeker of righteousness and the kingdom agenda of God, or (2) as a one who is rebellious to the truth and this rebellion is manifested through a lifestyle that seeks its own agenda. No one can live in both verses. But no matter who we are, at some point in our lifetime, we all have lived in verse eight. For others they are currently living in it, and this verse can be used to best describe their lives. Each of the two positions also come with their own eternal consequences; life everlasting given to us through the life of Jesus Christ or indignation and wrath and forever separated from the life and love of a relentlessly loving God. Every disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ, at one time in their life, lived in verse eight. It was only when the Greatest Interrupter that ever lived interrupted their self-seeking agenda, and reconciled their life to be in harmony with God’s kingdom purpose. Prior to this JESUS INVASION they lived for themselves. Once we’re in verse seven there’s no going back to verse eight as a way of living. Yes, we’ll do things with the wrong motives. Yes, we’ll disobey the truth at times and be in need of grace repentance. But our lives will never be characterized as being in verse eight. Why not? The Interruption and Invasion of Jesus is PERMANENT! Will we be tempted to live for ourselves. Yes, but we are “more than conquerors in Christ Jesus” and we will not be continually overcome and conquered by our flesh to fulfill its lust. Keep in mind that temptation is not sin. It’s when we act on our temptation that it becomes sin. Can we make provisions for our flesh? Yes, we can exercise our minds toward, and think in advance how to feed our fleshly cravings. But we don't have to and we shouldn't desire to live this way any longer.
We're going to stop here and pick up with this thought tomorrow. Come back and we'll look at how God describes the “products of the fall” to establish our theme for all missionaries living to rescue the perishing:
“All men are guilty of living a life of rebellion toward King Jesus until otherwise proven innocent by His unmistakable marks of grace upon their life.”
We will also be introduce to the eternal marks of God’s grace.
Until then God bless!
Proverbs 14:25
A true witness delivereth souls: but a deceitful witness speaketh lies.

Win the lost at His cost, and it will be According to Grace!

This Particular LIFE (Part 2)
Go, stand and speak in the temple to the people all the words of this life. (Acts 5:20)

This Altered and Interrupted Life is PERMANENT!

We must recognize the truth that is manifested in this passage, and how it speaks about a life that has been permanently changed to bring glory and honor to God and His redemptive grace. God the Father permanently alters the position, and progressively transforms the practice, of the trophies of His grace (His new creatures) with such eternal power and precision that the angel referred to it as "THIS LIFE"! Does God’s grace permanently alter and transform life? YES! When God interrupts someone, through the life of His only begotten Son, it is forever? Not only is it permanent but He does it Personally? Have YOU personally and powerfully been interrupted by Him?

The reason He interrupts our lives is to conquer us for His own purpose. How does He do this? He permanently and persistently INVADES our life with His GRACE. Have YOU been INVADED by Jesus and conquered by Him? The Church, that is the Bride of Christ, the Redeemed, not everyone who "professes" to be the church, has been conquered by her King. She is, as the Word of God describes her, "subject to Christ"!
Subject: It means to be under authority and the appointment of specific orders or a direct assignment.

For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and He is the saviour of the body. [24] Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing. [25] Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave Himself for it…
(Ephes. 5:23-25)
What is one of the God ordained and specific task that Jesus is accomplishing today? He's conquering sinners! What is the result of this invasion? He makes them His subjects! For what reason? So they can bring glory to the name of His Father, while living as "more than conquerors", through the life sacrifice and shed blood of Jesus. He gave up His life and poured out His blood to interrupt and invade the lives of hopeless and helpless men forever.
And when all things shall be subdued unto Him (Jesus), then shall the Son also Himself be subject unto Him (The Father) that put all things under Him (Jesus), that God may be all in all. (1 Cor. 15:28)
Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him that loved us. (Romans 8:37)
God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That Thou mightest be justified in Thy sayings, and mightest overcome when Thou art judged. (Romans 3:4)
All men should be seen as guilty of rebellion to the authority of King Jesus, and in need of being permanently conquered and made subject to Him, until otherwise proven innocent of this common and most natural sin.
(Proverbs 24:11-12)

This Particular LIFE (Part 1)
Go, stand and speak in the temple to the people all the words of this life. (Acts 5:20)

What an Altered Life!

It is obvious that THIS LIFE, as indicated by the angel of the Lord, is different from every other type of life. Therefore, it would be wise of us to investigate the distinctions that make THIS LIFE so particular. For it is a life that the people, to whom the apostles were sent, did not have. The people who would gather in the temple in Jerusalem did not possess or live out THIS LIFE. They were people who would gather regularly at the temple to bring their offerings to God and receive instruction from the leaders of their day. They, from man‘s point of view, were respectable and moral people who made every effort to conform their lives to the standards given to them by their teachers. (Pr. 16:25) Laws and regulations were lifeless tools that were being misused by their guides. These tools became instruments of torture and manipulation in order to control the carnal nature of perishing men. They were oppressed by men on the outside and condemned within by their own guilty conscience that they were not rightly related to a Holy God. The results of this guilt was manifested in their fear of being caught and found in sin. Therefore, they continually sought to reform their own ways by conforming to, and repeating again and again man made traditions. They were normal people living normal lives. Like people today who do what they can to obey the law and be a good citizen. They worked and raised families and planned for the future. They invested in their children, homes, lands, and communities, and were interested in the bottom line like men and women today. Yes, there were different classes of people who came from different backgrounds, yet they all shared very common and similar LIFESTYLES.

The apostles, at one time, were on this same course of life. (Eph. 2:1-5) Their professions were different but the way they lived life was the same. Some were into politics, while others fished for a living. Some worked for the government, and others were in rebellion to the established system. The one Person that tied all of them together was Jesus of Nazareth. Previous to Jesus uniting them for His cause, each of the apostles lived like the rest of humanity. They were sinners who lived with a conscience that condemned themselves in their sin. The problem they each faced was a self-centered issue of sin. Everything centered around themselves. (Rom 2:7-8) Even the attempts of clearing a guilty conscience was self-motivated in order to be personally free from the fear of being caught and condemned in their sin. They like us were motivated in everything and in every way for selfish reasons. The life they lived prior to being interrupted by Jesus, along with everyone else, was consumed with self and corrupt at every point. (Gen. 6:5 ; 8:21 ; John 3:3-5)

What happened to the apostles? They were granted repentance unto life! “When they heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified God, saying, ‘Then hath God also to the Gentiles granted repentance unto life’. ” (Acts 11:18) God turned them from their sinful and self-centered life to THIS LIFE that they are now instructed to go speak about. This would mean that the Lord interrupted the life they were living and invade them by His grace to grant unto them a new life. The Bible calls it being RECONCILED. (Col. 1:19-23) When a man is regenerated and converted (born again) he is forgiven of his sin, made a new creature, reconciled from hostility and rebellion toward God and put in a position free of guilt and shame to live in intimacy and fellowship with a Just, Holy, Loving, and Merciful God. They are given the Holy Ghost of God to authentically represent Him upon the earth. (2 Cor. 5:14-21) When this happens, which is by the hand of God Himself, it is undeniably nothing short of a Divine Miracle and a Eternal Interruption. Disciples are given a new life. It’s a life that is unmistakably different from any past lifestyle, which was once consumed with self-centered living. It is a PECULIAR LIFE that takes ownership of its Possessor, and will be lived out by everyone who has been RECONCILED and INTERRUPTED by the Lord Himself. (Titus 3:3-8) It’s not a prayer, or plan, or a self-motivated decision that interrupts and reconciles sinners. No, it is Jesus who gives LIFE. He is the One who grants repentance unto this new life. Has He interrupted you? Is He your LIFE? Have you been told to “Go, stand and speak all the words of THIS LIFE?” Go tell all the people who do not possess THIS LIFE! (Luke 24:46-48)

For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. [4] When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with Him in glory. (Col. 3:3-4)

This Particular LIFE
(Acts 5:20)
Go, stand and speak in the temple to the people all the words of this life. (Acts 5:20)

What a Life!

What awesome words we have that explain and describe this Life!

What a mission we've been given to express and manifest this particular Life!

It's sounds like this way of living is not to be part of our lives or even a major part but actually our Life!

Think about IT?

Meditate on this word given by the angel of the Lord to the apostles while in prison, and we'll study it together in the coming days.

Seven Principal Laws of Discipleship (Part 3)
(Luke 6:40; Matthew 10:24, 25)
The disciple is not above his master: but every one that is perfect shall be as his master. Luke 6:40
Principal Law #6 - There must be life-altering instruction, a specific doctrine/truth in which they believe.
Principal Law #7 - There must be lifestyle affirmation and allegiance. A disciple is not to be above his teacher, but like his teacher.

A CLOSER LOOK

Principal Law #6 - There must be life-altering instruction. A life of discipleship is built on this foundational principle. The student wants to be like his teacher, and for this to happen, life-altering instruction must be given and received. All followers want to be led by their master.
Instruction from a master is the lifeline of the disciple.

Principal Law #7 - There must be lifestyle affirmation and allegiance. The student wants to be like his teacher. Both teacher and student will affirm the progress of each other. The student will affirm and authenticate the effectiveness of His teacher in everyday life. The teacher is sensitive to the needs of his follower and discerns when it is the right time to affirm and authenticate the diligence and determination of his student’s effort to follow his instruction.
They also are pleased to affirm their allegiance to each other. The teacher affirms his commitment to the student by allowing him to do things that would identify him as his disciple. The student makes every effort to honor his master and points everyone to his master’s influence over his life. It will always be known verbally and visually who is the master and who is the disciple. Both the teacher and the disciple see it as an honor to be identified with one another because they are not ashamed of each other.

And there went great multitudes with Him: and He turned, and said unto them, [26] If any man come to Me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be My disciple. [27] And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after Me, cannot be My disciple. Luke 14:25-27

In the above passage Jesus is not giving us conditions for discipleship, qualifications of discipleship, or the cost of moving from being a Christian to a disciple but emphatically stating a fact about those who cannot possibly belong to Him personally. He is NOT pointing out the difference between a Christian and a Disciple because there is no difference to be made. A new creature in Christ Jesus (a born again Believer/Christian/Disciple) is supernaturally established, equipped, and empowered by the grace of God as a Disciple of Jesus Christ to forsake all others, objects, and obsessions to diligently follow his new Deliver and Lord. Does this mean you know everything there is to know, and you abandon all you have, and what you're ignorantly doing that is opposed to the purpose and pleasure of God? No! It does mean you know everything you need to know at that point. You now know Jesus is your King. You know that you're a new creation? You know you have been graciously forgiven of a monstrous debt of sin and by the tender mercies of God reconciled to Him from a place of hostility and rebellion. You know you have embraced and are experiencing a love that goes beyond words. You know your life is not your own and your understanding is illuminated to seek in humility the truth of God's Word. You know that Jesus is beautiful and glorious, precious and treasured, trustworthy and true, wonderful and lovely, costly and YOURS! You know that you are free to follow Him. You know you have a new family and that you are pleasantly and surprisingly fond of them. You know that there are others who need to know what YOU KNOW about being forgiven, reconciled, and free to follow Jesus. You know that the influence of things and people which previously meant so much to you is no longer useful in your newly altered world. You know you can walk away from someone or something because Someone of greater value has won your affection and adoration. You know you have been interrupted by Jesus and invaded by His grace. You know old things have passed away and all things have become new to you.

Jesus illustrates this by using a very common household item, SALT. We keep salt in our cabinets as a means of flavoring food. If salt looses its flavor it becomes useless and disposable to us, and we have no problem discarding it. We can now throw it out because its purpose has been altered. This illustration is used to make a strong point. The point that Jesus is making is about flavor, appeal, and purpose. If a man can go to Jesus and see his family and his own life in the same way he's always seen them, that man has never been supernaturally made a disciple. The reason a disciple can forsake all others, objects, and obsessions is because He has a new nature that is drawn to Jesus and driven to follow Him. As a result of this new nature everything else has lost its power and original appeal/flavor and can now be "thrown out" and discarded as needed. Why? Have they all changed? No! Their purpose in your life has been altered. By whom? By the Lord when He altered your purpose and therefore changed your sense of taste, and what you treasure in life. The personal interest and investment of Jesus became very tasteful and their influence became bitter. They didn't change. The change was wrought in you by the Holy Ghost.

Salt is good: but if the salt have lost his savour. wherewith shall it be seasoned? It is neither fit for the land, nor yet for the dunghill; but men cast it out. He that hath ears to hear, let him hear. Luke 14:34-35

Jesus is saying that if any man comes to Him and sees Him with an unaltered life he will live an unaltered lifestyle and the influence of those dearest to him will always taste better than Mine. The fact is simply this; he is not personally Mine! If He is Mine he would come to Me with a supernaturally altered life (which I did) and anyone or anything that would hinder My involvement, influence, and instruction upon his life he can and is responsible to Me to abandon because its lost its flavor in his life. His family didn't change. No, I changed him so he would be, and matter of fact, forever want to be Mine! Will sin appeal to him? Yes! The difference is he has the capacity and power through My grace to say NO to sin's temptation. Will he always say NO? No! He will yield at times, be tricked, and even find temporary pleasure in sin. Yet My love for Him is not based on what he does. I will work on the root of His sin problem and not be deterred by the results of his actions. When he sins against Me, I will discipline him because I love him. I will teach him how to live a life of repentance and righteousness. I will never allow his righteous soul to famish; therefore I will use my people to feed him, and I, in turn, will use him to feed My people. Why? He's MINE, and this is what I do with My OWN!

(Eph. 1 ; Titus 2:11-14 ; 3:1-8 ; 2 Cor. 5:14-21 ; Eph. 5:22-33 ; 1 Pet. 2:9-11 ; Heb. 12 ; Ps. 85 ; Jer. 32:38-44 ; Micah 7:18-20 ; Is. 12 ; Pr. 10:3 ; Acts 1)

If you're NOT a Disciple of Jesus you cannot possibly belong to Him!

There are Principle Laws to Discipleship that are applicable to all disciples.

Answer His call into LIFE today! (John 3:3-5 ; 5:21-27)

Seven Principal Laws of Discipleship (Part 2)
(Luke 6:40; Matthew 10:24, 25)
The disciple is not above his master: but every one that is perfect shall be as his master. Luke 6:40

Principal Law #3 - There must be a common nature. They must be likeminded in nature, with a desire to invest in each other.

Principal Law #4 - There must be a personal relationship, a connection that relates emotionally, mentally, physically, and spiritually.

Principal Law #5 - There must be clear communication that comes through an intimate knowledge of each other’s purpose.

A CLOSER LOOK

Principal Law #3 - There must be a common nature. Without a common nature, there is not a willingness to be likeminded. Followers of other men have a likeminded nature and desire to be like their teacher. People followed a rabbi’s teaching in Jesus’ day because they had something in common with them and yielded themselves to their teacher’s purpose for living. The necessity of the new birth experience is fundamental for a man to take upon the common nature of the Son of God. Natural man is opposed and hostile to God’s ways. To be a follower of Jesus, a man must be born again in order to have a common nature with Jesus.

Principal Law #4 - There must be a personal relationship. Without a personal relationship, there is no possibility of authentic discipleship. Through the new birth and being reconciled with God through the Lord Jesus Christ, we enter into a personal relationship with God and His Son
and experience what Christ has come to do. We are connected to Christ and now can relate to Him physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.

Principal Law #5 - There must be clear communication. Without being in intimate fellowship, there is no discipleship. To know what one believes, there must be clear communication. A teacher finds out where his followers are through quality time spent communicating with one another. A follower knows what his master thinks about things because they talk about it together. Clear communication sets the stage for authentic discipleship.

Seven Principal Laws of Discipleship (Part 1)
(Luke 6:40; Matthew 10:24, 25)
The disciple is not above his master: but every one that is perfect shall be as his master.
Luke 6:40

Principal Law #1 - There must be a willing teacher/master, a teacher who is willing to invest his life and love into a follower.

Principal Law #2 - There must be a submissive pupil/follower, a student willing to give up his life to learn and live the way of his master.

A CLOSER LOOK
Principal Law #1
- There must be a willing teacher/master. There must be an individual who will make every effort to invest what they know and how they live into a follower
or a group of followers. This individual is seeking a follower who will allow him to pour his very life into them. There is no discipleship without a willing teacher. He opens up his heart, head, hands, and home to a learner who makes himself his subject.

Principal Law #2 - There must be a submissive pupil/follower. Without a follower, there can be no discipleship. A follower must be willing to make himself subject to a master. The reason they do this is because they want to consume everything their teacher knows. They want to be like their teacher. They give up their life to follow the light, life, and love of their master. They forsake all previous ambitions so they can give themselves to their new master.
